Dermal Fillers
As your skin ages, it loses the collagen that helps to shape and support it. Dermal fillers replace this volume and are a popular, natural treatment for facial lines and wrinkles, helping to restore volume to areas in which it has been lost. Fillers are placed in areas that have lost 'scaffolding' in the skin, thus result in a natural lift and tightening of the skin.
In addition, dermal fillers provide a non surgical alternative to enhancing lips and cheeks, providing volume and definition.
Is it safe and are they permanent?
Dermal fillers contain hyaluronic acid, the same volumising component found in your natural skin. The products we use are non animal, natural and safe. The dermal fillers we use are non-permanent, and over time the hyaluronic acid degrades naturally, giving you the freedom to decide if you want further treatment in the future.
How long does it last?
The effect depends on the individuals skin type and the area that has been treated. Most people find improvement still visible at 12 months.
How long does it take and does it hurt?
The procedure itself takes around 20 minutes after an initial consultation. Most people find it a painless procedure, however if you have particularly sensitive skin we offer an anesthetic cream that is applied 30 minutes prior to the procedure.
